I am a graduate of Makami College’s 3000-hour Clinical Advanced Diploma Program where I achieved an Award of Distinction in 2018. I am a member in good standing of the Certified Registered Massage Therapist Association (CRMTA).
My life-long interest and passion for self-care and bodywork has always involved hands-on therapies or facilitating fitness classes as an AFLCA Water Fitness Instructor/Assistant Trainer of which I have been certified for more than 30 years. I also possess certification in First Aid CPR C w/AED.
I have training and experience in Swedish/Relaxation Massage, Sport Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Silicone Dynamic Cupping, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Pre/Post Natal Massage, Infant Massage, Hot/Cold Stone techniques, Spa techniques, and I have recently added K-Taping OrthoCanada and Thai Yoga Massage.
In addition to my training in massage therapy I have more than 30 years of experience in the public sector training, coaching, teaching water fitness to all ages. With Kinesiology styles like Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym/Edu-K), Touch for Health and various other energy modalities. I find my upmost passion is to provide home-care programs and self-care strategies. Meet me in the HydroGym!
I have provided massage at Alberta Indoor Track and Field Championships, Western Finals, Summer Games as a RMT Representative for Alberta Athletics. Pre/post and recovery massage with the Edmonton Eskimos during their 2018 season and Canadian Men’s Rugby Team in 2018. I have also been involved at various events in around the Edmonton area including the Rucksack November Fundraisers, Skate competitions, Speed walkers in Hawrelak Park, Gorilla Race, Cross Stitchers weekend workshops, etc.
I love my 3 adult children to the moon and back. I scuba dive and I travel dancing through life…one step at a time….
