60 min. = 100.00 + 5.00 = 105.00
75 min. = 120.00 + 6.00 = 126.00
90 min. = 140.00 + 7.00 = 147.00
Rate for Kip with over 40 years experience :
30 min. = 75.00 + 3.75 = 78.75
45 min. = 95.00 + 4.75 = 99.75
60 min. = 110.00 + 5.50 = 115.50
75 min. = 130.00 + 6.50 = 136.50
90 min. = 150.00 + 7.50 = 157.50
Cancellation Policy Revised 2022
Massage Therapy is a service profession of caring and compassionate individuals and our commitment to you is that when you make an appointment with us, then we will be there to provide a high level of service for you.
As a professional Massage Therapy Clinic, we have only one service to provide our clients and that is our treatment time. It is during this time that our therapists earn our income and pay our operating expenses. When an appointment is cancelled at the last minute, or if you do not show up, then we are deprived of our only saleable product. Missing your scheduled appointment also prevents us from accommodating other clients in need of treatment.
Once you book an appointment, then that time becomes your responsibility and should be a priority to you. If you have made your appointment through our on-line booking service, you will receive an automated reminder prompt. Otherwise, you will receive a reminder call from our office and these methods ensure that you have received adequate confirmation of your upcoming appointment.
We trust that by explaining the rationale behind our cancellation policy you will be more understanding of our position and you will make every effort possible to attend your scheduled appointment. You will also agree to accept the resolutions as stated below should such a situation arise.
RESOLUTIONS SHOULD A SITUATION ARISE:
a) For a NO SHOW:
- If you do not show up for your appointment, then you will be charged for the missed appointment.
b) For a CANCELLATION:
- If you cancel with more than 24 hour notice, there will be no charge to you.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hour notice, then you will be charged for the missed appointment.
c) If you are LATE for an appointment:
- Time may be deducted from your treatment time.
d) If you are being DIRECT BILLED:
- Those patients on direct billing who miss an appointment, or cancel at short notice, will be personally charged for the missed appointment. Payment will be the responsibility of the client and not of the insurance company or extended health benefits.
* We would always appreciate a call as soon as possible once you decide that you cannot attend, or you are going to be late for an appointment, so that we can make the necessary adjustments to our work day.
* We recognize that there are circumstances that are out of your control (sudden illness, family emergencies, etc.) and life happens!
* If an emergency situation arises, please let us know so that we can treat your specific situation with our personal attention. We do not consider work conflicts to be emergencies.
* Only your Massage Therapist has the right to waive this policy under certain emergency situations.
* This Clinic’s Cancellation Policy will now be strictly enforced. If our clinic’s cancellation policy has been violated, then you can expect to receive an invoice by email or mail.
* Please avoid these situations by making sure to attend the appointments that you have arranged and we shall commit do the same!

Direct Billing
The Active Life Centre is pleased to offer a Direct Billing option for our clients who carry Massage Therapy coverage from most of the major Insurance Companies.
We participate through the “TELUS Health” program, as well as Blue Cross/ARTA and Greenshield, which provides a direct link between our clients and many insurers to streamline claims processing. We offer our clients this additional service which will essentially lower your out-of-pocket expenses by submitting your claims on your behalf.
We trust that this added convenience will provide increased client satisfaction and loyalty as we make every attempt to make your life easier. It is very convenient for the client to only have to pay what is not covered by their group insurance plan.
Our clients can focus on their own health and commit to a treatment plan without worrying about payments and insurance paperwork. You can just book their next appointment and leave our office with the satisfaction knowing that your claim has been successfully submitted.
* Clients are encouraged to find out if their benefit plan does cover Massage Therapy. You should find out what your benefit limitations are (ie: amount covered per year, amount covered per massage, or percentage covered per massage). Our clinic may not have access to this information.
* There may be situations whereby you have additional coverage on your spouse/partner’s plan and we can assist you to properly utilize both plans.
* If your insurance company does not reimburse our clinic for any portion of the treatment, the client is responsible to cover the outstanding balance at the time of the treatment.
* Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment to allow time for us to gather your billing information, so that it does not impact your treatment time. You can also call us in advance of your appointment to let us know your Insurance Company, your Policy Number, and your Member Number and any other pertinent details.
MVAs (Motor Vehicle Accidents): We offer Direct Billing with insurance companies for injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. You must first see a “Primary Caregiver” which can be a Medical Doctor, a Chiropractor or a Physiotherapist, however it is your choice what treatments you receive once you are approved. Massage Therapy works well in conjunction with other therapies such as Chiropractic and Physiotherapy.
RCMP and Veteran Affairs: We offer Direct Billing with these two groups. You must be pre-approved before starting Massage Therapy treatments. Please call us, or bring in your prescription along with your R number (RCMP), or your K number (VA), and we will take care of the rest for you.
We would encourage you to find out what your Insurance and Health Spending Accounts cover and be sure to access the maximum benefits for Massage Therapy for which you are entitled.
