Pregnancy Massage

Massage throughout the Prenatal Stage:
Massage Therapy during pregnancy can prove to be a very beneficial and well-appreciated addition to your self-care process throughout an expectant mother's various phases of maternity. Our prenatal massage provides a nurturing touch that promotes relaxation and emotional support.
We recognize what an amazing miracle it is to be pregnant, but we also know there will be some major physical changes that your body will go through as well as some emotional challenges.
The extra weight in your growing abdomen can place additional strain and tension on your hips, back and neck. Prenatal massage can help you maintain good posture and helps by relieving the pain.
The expectant mother may experience extra swelling/edema in her feet and lower legs. Pregnancy massage aids the circulatory and lymphatic systems, which keeps vital fluids flowing to both the mother and the baby.
Massage therapy addresses many of the common discomforts of pregnancy caused by hormone shifts, skeletal changes and circulatory changes of the body. It stimulates different glands in the body, which help to stabilize hormone levels, and relieves nervous tension throughout the body.
Here are some the benefits that regular massages can provide during your pregnancy:
* Reduced stress and anxiety
* Regulation of moods
* Reduced symptoms of depression
* Improved quality of sleep
* Relieved muscle and joint pain/tension
* Reduced sciatic nerve pain
* Improved labor outcomes
Always be comfortable! Your comfort is our top priority. We accommodate your positional requirements and provide you with the support you need whether laying on your side, front or back. We offer a super comfortable pregnancy pillow for those who prefer to lay face down to have their backs and necks massaged in comfort.
Precautions: Massage therapy is generally extremely safe and it can be received at any point throughout your pregnancy. However, there is generally an increased risk of miscarriage in the first trimester (first 12 weeks) for any pregnancy. There are some precautions when receiving prenatal massage as with any therapeutic approach during pregnancy. Please consult your health care provider to ensure that massage is safe for you in your pregnancy journey!
Massage during Labour and Delivery Stage: Of course we cannot accompany mom into the delivery room, but we would be very pleased to provide their birthing partner with a few hints and techniques as to how they can assist mom during her times of need during labour!
Massage throughout the Postpartum Stage: After giving birth you deserve the finest Massage Therapy sessions possible. We encourage new moms to book a massage as soon as they are willing and able! Postpartum massage can help restore a mother’s body and energy. A massage after birth can substantially relieve muscle tension and stress from labor and delivery and it a wonderful escape from all of those mothering duties.
